DUSHANBE, 14.09.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – On September 14, at about 07:15, the border guards of the Bulakboshi border post of Batken’s border detachment of the Kyrgyz Republic fired four shots from a mortar in the direction of the Kekh border outpost of the Isfara Border Detachment of Tajikistan. Without any reason, they fired at the positions of Tajik border guards using a Kalashnikov machine gun, AK and other firearms. Additional military forces and equipment were transferred to this area by the Kyrgyz Republic, reports the Press Center of the Border Troops of the State Committee for National Security of Tajikistan.

The servicemen of the Border Troops of the State Committee for National Security of Tajikistan returned fire.

Negotiations are currently underway between the border representatives of the two countries in order to stabilize the situation and establish the reasons for the provocative actions of the border troops of the Kyrgyz Republic.
